He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Steup and Ethel Steup; and his siblings, John Steup, Bill Steup, Donald Steup and Francis Beghtel.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Steup Sr. (Doreen), Terry Steup (Kellie), Sheri Boyko (Daniel), Gerald Steup, Michael Steup, Brian Steup, Tracy Steup and Kathleen Clouse. He is also survived by 28 grandkids.
