She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Tony and Verla Petersen; and her sister Billie Ann Reeder. She is survived by: her husband Nelson Merkley of Fort Wayne; and her daughters, Christine Merkley of Margate, FL, Marilyn Lepore (Greg) of Columbia, MD and Deborah Hensley (Joshua) of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to the Humanitarian Aid Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
