He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Striverson (Smith) and Amanda Smith; his stepfather Willie G. Smith; his mother-in-law Jessie Mae King; his sister Eddie Mae; his brother-in-law William E. Epperson Sr.; his sister Daisy Cowan; his sister-in-law Mae Hicks; and his brother Jeffrey Lynn Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Carol Striverson; his children, Ulysses Striverson Jr. (Dawn) and Natasha Striverson (Chaeill Lee) of Fort Wayne; his granddaughters, Aaliyah Striverson-Shaw, Nisa Striverson, Alana Striverson, Kynidi Striverson and Jada Striverson; his sisters, Gloria Franklin of California and Janet Striverson of Tennessee; his sister-in-law Wendy Ann King Minor (William) of Alabama; and his brothers, Theodore Striverson, Robert Striverson (Carletta), James Striverson, Willie G. Smith, Eric Smith, Mark Smith of California, Ronald Smith of Georgia and Willie McCloud. He is also survived by loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
