She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermon Johnson and Mary Johnson (Rice); her brother Cecil Johnson; her nephew Leon Maurice Wade; her niece April Latoya Wade-Bowen; and her great-nephew Jelan Whitten-Strother.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmy Johnson, Eddie Johnson (Martha), Willie Mae Wade, Betty Johnson, Jackie Jamison, Jeanette Strother (Angelo) of Fort Wayne and Peggy Bennett (Glenn) of Chicago, IL; and her sister-in-law Deanie Bright Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
