Vera Harper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Harper (Fort Wayne, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vera may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nolan Lewis and Mildred Lewis (Lowe); her husband George L. Harper; her daughters, Linda Hayden White and Paula Wright (Dick Wright); and her granddaughter Crissa Hayden-Fruits. She was also cherished by her husband, her four brothers, one sister, one step-brother and survived by 2 half-sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Church (6102 Evard Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Hope Athens Cemetery.
