He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward William and Louise Lula Deutsch (Mossburg); his wife T. Delores "Dee" Deutsch; his children, Pamela K. Simerman and Michael Lewis Deutsch; his grandson Chadrick Glenn Deutsch; his great grandchild Chadrick James; his siblings, Edward J., Alvin Deutsch, Wilma Schauss, Gladys Stevens and Vera Deutsch; and his niece Eva Stevens.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Deutsch and Cindy Tieman (Greg); and his son-in-law Kurt Simerman of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sonrise Church or Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter.
