He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer J. Rider and Alice Genevie Rider (Bair); his wife Patsy R. Rider (Smith); his brother Carrol; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Rider and Donald Rumple.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian K. Rider (Rita Lyn) and Craig A. Rider (Nichole); his siblings, Darrell Rider (Jule) and Rita Ann Leisure (Joseph); his grandchildren, Bailey Brown (Nathan), Kira Rider, Noah Rider and Elijah Rider Aaron Rider; his great grandchildren, Nora Brown, Mabel Brown and Oakley Brown; and his sister-in-law Suellen Rumple. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
