He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Payne and Ethel Rogers; his daughters, Linda Payne-Walters and Ethel Payne; his sister Thelma Taylor; his grandchildren, Shawn Smith Sr. and Erica Rutledge; his niece Lorraine Edmond; and his nephew Thomas Williams.
He is survived by: his daughter LaJuene Hollingsworth (Clem); his son-in-law Mark Walters; his grandchildren, Johnny Warren, Joshua Payne (Tramaine), Michael Hollingsworth Sr., Tomeko Hopson (Kevin) and Makayla Hollingsworth; his great grandchildren, Shawn Smith Jr., Josiah Hopson, Aaron Golden, T'Yauna Payne, Eriana Rutledge, Ja'Liyah Payne, Anyla Rutledge and Michael Hollingsworth Jr.; his great great grandchild Sevyn Hopson; and his nieces, Ladonna Fuller (Harold), Marquita Harris and Nicole Edmond. He is also survived by relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
