He was predeceased by: his mother Nina Hoover (Underwood); and his son Lucas Hoover. He is survived by: his father William "Bill" Hoover, Sr.; his daughters, Maureen Jeffrey (Tim), Allison Sleesman (Chase), Lisa Henschen and Elizabeth Mannir; his close friend Bonnie Platz; and his siblings, Ruthann York, Marsha Longcor (Tim), Linda Johnson (Jack), Thomas Hoover (Jane), Karen Fishbaugh (DJ), David Hoover (Sue) and Susan Davidson (Donnie). He is also survived by five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Prospect Cemetery (340 W 900 N, Uniondale, IN 46791).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Harvest Food Bank in William's memory, honoring his lifelong commitment to serving others.
