He was predeceased by: his father William Lutter; his siblings, Clarence, Jim, Bob Lutter and Gwen Liggett; and his grandson Chad Lutter.

He is survived by: his children, David Lutter (Barbara), Denise Lutter and Dawn Lutter; and his brother Ralph Lutter. He is also survived by three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be directed to Messiah Lutheran Church.
