We bid farewell to Vanessa Rose Porter of Fountain City, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 9, 2025 at the age of 70. Vanessa Rose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Gray Sr.; and her sister Teresa Ann Gray. She is survived by: her mother Cora Sams Gray Sr.; her husband Bill; her children, Sara Marcum (Harold L.), April Vega (Louie) and William Odice Porter (Tanya); her grandchildren, Matthew Porter, Lexie Porter, Madie Harley (Evelyn), Shana Porter, Zac Caldwell, Emily Caldwell and Levi Turman; her great grandchildren, Fox Porter, Teague Porter, Eedie Porter, Aiden Coy and Hudson Frisby; and her sister Letha White (Freda Hampton). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home (222 N 10th St, Richmond, IN 47374). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Central Early Learning Center and Preschool 1425 East Main Street Richmond, Indiana 47374.
