He was predeceased by : his father George Kenneth Slavens; and his grandparents, Patrick Evans, Velma Ruth Pritchett, Ivan Glenn and Juanita Marie Slavens.

He is survived by : his mother Rebecca Slavens; his brother Clayton Kenneth Slavens; his uncles, Boston "Butch" Pritchett (Linda), Kevin Pritchett (Tammy) and Ernest Pritchett; and his aunt Patsy Richter (Mark).
