We bid farewell to Chad Russell Butts of Francisco, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 26, 2025 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his father Russell Butts; his birth mother Paulette Turpin Salamie; his sister Keagan Butts; his sister-in-law Penny Johnson; his parents-in-law, George and Martha Johnson; and his grandparents, Pauline Turpin Berliene, Joe McEllhiney, Charles and Eleanor Clemens.
He is survived by: his wife Gerna Butts (Johnson) of Francisco; his sons, Kyle Butts (Cheyanna) of Pike County and Joe Butts of Francisco; his grandsons, Beau and Lee Butts; his mother Carolyn Butts of Princeton; his siblings, Lynn Barrett (Jeff), Kathleen Johnson (Dave), Rusty Butts, Clint Butts (Michele), Kiko Salamie and Eric Salamie (Amy); his brother-in-law Bill Johnson; his niece Brittany Johnson (Grant Wessley); his cousin Jana Whitehead; and his friend Gracie Bailey. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Colvin Funeral Home (425 N Main St, Princeton, IN 47670). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the Maple Hill Cemetery (1335 Outer Ohio St, Princeton, IN 47670).
