He was predeceased by : his parents, Claud Ball and Myrtle Ball; his wife Evalene Ball; his son-in-law Chuck Toney; his great grandchild Paityn Duckworth; and his sister Christine Coe.

He is survived by : his children, Dale Ball of Frankfort, Gail Merriman of Frankfort, Delbert Ball of Avon, Teresa Toney of Frankfort and Joan Smith of Frankfort; and his siblings, Elmo Ball, Charlene Hobbs, Kenneth Ball and Jewel Kniess. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
