With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Ray Batman of Frankfort, Indiana, who passed away on February 6, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Martin and Corda Maria Batman (Wisemen); his wife Ada Mae Johnson; his son Kent R. Batman; and his siblings, Thelma Batman, Jewell Howe and Wayne Batman.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Batman (Marlene) of Madison, IN, Barbara Howe (Oliver) of Indianapolis, Mark Batman (Felicia) of Nashville, IN, Kevin Batman (Teresa) of Greer, SC and Beth Gormong (Jeff) of Noblesville, IN; his sister Velma Snider of Franklin, TN; and his grandchildren, Carissa Hawkins (Evan), SaraBeth Krudy (Nicholas), Michael Colter, Luke Batman (Elizabeth), Emily Cox (Kenneth), Matthew Batman (Sara), Benjamin Batman, Bradley Batman (Lauren), Bailey Joy Batman, Braden Batman, Jaena Gormong, Johanna Kelsey Gormong and Jessica Gormong. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
