He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Vail and Nettie Vail (Snellbarger); his wife Lillian Beard; and his sister Marjorie Timmons. He is survived by: his children, Ricki E. Beard, Vicki Swearingen (Robin), Terina Y. Dean (Jerry) and Sheryl Bennett (Brian). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
