She was predeceased by: her parents, William Payne and Elsie Ely (Boone); her husband Billy Joe Hindsley; her stepfather Russell Ely; her siblings, James Payne, Randy Ely and Mary Jane Payne; and her niece Cindy Payne.

She is survived by: her siblings, Glenn "Bud" Payne of Frankfort and Diane Niemann of Frankfort; and her nieces and nephews, Carol Payne of Frankfort, Angie McCracken (Ben) of Blacksburg, Kelly Harmon (Mike) of Columbus, Travis Stidham of Frankfort and Jason Payne (Linda) of Lafayette. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
