He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Ricks and Trecil Ricks; and his brother-in-law Robert L. Hover. He is survived by: his wife Angela M. Ricks of Frankfort; his son Thomas Eugene Ricks (Heather Cole) of Kirklin; his sisters, Janice Ricks of Kirklin and Joyce Ricks of Kirklin; his brother-in-law Chet Lock; his niece Jessie Furnish of Greencastle; his nephews, Joe Kiger and Joshua Arreaga of Frankfort; and his great-nephews, Joshua and Andrew Riddell.

Memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Cancer Fund.
