He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl "Popeye" and Marjorie Payne, Jr. (Coffman); his wife Debbie Lambert; his children, Angela Payne Barnard (Phil) of Beech Grove, Johnny Payne, Jr. (Lori) of Sheridan and Jeremy Payne (Tisha) of Kirklin; his siblings, Sandi Clark of Lafayette, Barb Thomas (Greg) of Rossville, Tom Payne (Andee) of Tucson, AZ and Tim Payne (Starr) of Frankfort; and his daughter Kim Timmons. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
