He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kenneth and Charlotte Stoops (Bailey); and his sister Deloris Stoops. He is survived by: his wife Millicent R. Coffman; his children, Catherine Copper (Todd) of Nashville, IN, Phillip Mark Stoops of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Lori Roth (Mark) of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Anthony Roth (Sarah) of West Lafayette, Cory Roth (Christine Taylor) of Florida, Alexa Vaughn (Andrew) of Florida, Mattie Lee (Josh) of Frankfort, Bailee Robison (William Tripp) of Ohio and Chloee Copper (Liberia); his great grandchildren, Finnegan, Sadie, Cohen, Charlotte, Collins, Damien and Grayton; and his brothers, William Stoops (Pat) of Illinois and Jim Stoops (Helen) of Mulberry. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Green Lawn Cemetery (496 W Co Rd 200 S, Frankfort, IN 46041). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wesley Manor (1555 N Main St, Frankfort, IN 46041).
