With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Max Sheets of Frankfort, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Sheets and Nelly Sheets (Wilson); his wife Norma Jean Avery; his son Richard A. Sheets; and his granddaughter Annemarie Noelle Sheets.
He is survived by: his son William Max Sheets (Lara Beth Hohenberger) of Fort Collins, CO; his daughter-in-law Megan Davis Sheets of Conway, SC.; and his grandchildren, Elisa Beth Sheets of Oregon, David W. Sheets (Catherine "Cat" Fitzpatrick) of Cambridge, England, Erin Arthur (Mark) of Greenwood and Russell Sheets (Bethany) of Frankfort.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home (200 S Main St, Frankfort, IN 46041). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wesley Manor Employee Appreciation Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
