With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernon L Patchett of Frankfort, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon L Patchett to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Patchett and Lavonna Patchett (King); his wife Janice Elliott; his daughter Melissa Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Allan Bond, Terry Fye, Randy Hitch and Linda Patchett.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Patchett of Marianna and Gregory Patchett (Sandy) of Frankfort; and his siblings, Linda Fye of Galveston, Loretta Hitch of Frankfort, Dana Miller (Dick) of Frankfort, Jerry Patchett of Forest and Steven Patchett (Sandra) of Lafayette. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
A masonic service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:45 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Day & Genda Funeral Home (608 N Main St, Frankfort, IN 46041). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hopewell Cemetery (3460 E County Rd 500 S, Frankfort, IN 46041).
Memorial contributions may be left in Vern's honor to Hopewell Cemetery and Church.
