Charles William Harmening Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Harmening of Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Harmening and Charlotte Harmening (Renner); his wife Wilma Harmening (Dukes); his daughter Theresa Harmening; and his siblings, Frances Harmening, Robert Harmening and Thomas Harmening.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Tinkle (Parvin), Annie Reynolds (Jeff) and Charles "Bill" Harmening, Jr. (Tina); his grandchildren, Britt, Lyndsay, Jordan (Emily) of Kelsey, T. J., Tony (Kylie), Katie, Jeffrey, Brad (Elizabeth), Brooke (Lexi), Kyle, Bobby (Kim) and Andrea; and his sisters, Margaret Ann Hillan and Mary Clare Strack. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home (2898 N Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (114 Lancelot Dr, Franklin, IN 46131).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Johnson County, 3827 N. Graham Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
