She was predeceased by: her parents, James VanVleet and Laura VanVleet (Compton); her former husband Donald Ray Bennett; and her great grandchild Karol Marie Seay. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey D. Bennett and Pamela K. Salazar (Bennett); her son-in-law Erwin S. Salazar; her grandchildren, Shelby Seay (Andrew), Brea Salazar, Katie O'Neal, Kyle Bennett, Max Salazar, Michaela Salazar, Lorenzo Salazar, Kateri Salazar, Carson Bennett and Emilina Salazar; her great grandchildren, Blane, Sidney, Kinsley O'Neal, Kendall Bennett, Gwendoline and Vivienne Seay; and her brothers, James VanVleet (Sandy), Jerry VanVleet (Eliza), Stephen Van Vleet and Eddie VanVleet (Kaylan). She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any memorial contributions be made to a charity close to Donna's heart: Humane Society of Johnson County, the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County, or St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
