We announce the death of Frederick D. Moan (Franklin, Indiana), who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingvald Moan and Eva Moan; and his siblings, Irvin, John, Helen, Marian, Hazel, Jim, Anabelle, Karen, Ingvald and Ellen.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Moan; his sister Sara Dutra (late Hank); his children, Bradley Moan (Paula), Jay Moan (Ellen), Barbara Humphrey (late Charles), Steven Moan (Elizabeth) and Rebecca Young (Michael); and his grandchildren, Nicole Moan, Megan Moan, Samuel Moan (Megan), Benjamin Moan (Emily), Sarah Drake (Nicholas), Joseph Humphrey, Matthew Humphrey, Madelyn Moan, Melanie Cox (Jessica), Brandon Young and Nicholas Young.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Frederick's memory to the Knights of Columbus, Toys for Tots, or the National Kidney Foundation, organizations that reflect the values of faith, service, generosity, and compassion that he embodied throughout his life.
