He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Smith and Vesper Smith (Bennett); and his siblings, Donald C. Smith and Betty J. Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Smith (Thomas); his children, Michael Smith of Franklin, IN and Sarah Worsham (Dwayne) of Gilbertown, AL.; and his sisters, Phyllis J. Thomas and Barbara A. Cox.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northern Park Baptist Church (598 N Meridian St, Greenwood, IN 46143). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
