He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Frank Stearns and Emma Stearns (Dicken); and his siblings, Wilma Dugan, Opal Pitcher, Lena Anderson, Maxine Sidwell, Phyllis Conner, Carol Stubbs, Colleen Lenker, Willie Franklin Stearns, James Ray Stearns and Gary Devon Stearns.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Stearns (Hughes) of Franklin, IN; his sons, Timothy Stearns (Suzanne) of Austin, TX and Matthew Stearns (Jennifer) of Bargersville, IN; his granddaughter Madison Stearns of Bargersville, IN; and his brothers, Howard Stearns (JoAnn) of Franklin, IN and Steve Stearns (Ruth) of Franklin, IN. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
