He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Louis Bowden and Marguerite Bowden (Gray); his son Johnny Bowden; his girlfriend Becky Shive; his brothers, Doug Bowden and Woody Sharp; and his former wife Patricia Thralls.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bob" Bowden, Pam Brown (Bowden) and Lois Bowden; his former wife Juliette Frith; and his children, Rick Bowden and Janet Cherry. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (650 S Eisenhower Dr, Edinburgh, IN 46124).
