Douglas of Franklin, Indiana, born in Shelby, Indiana, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Douglas and Mignon Banks Douglas; his wife Susan Owens; and his siblings, Ellen Marie Douglas, Peter Lynn Douglas and Donald Vernon Douglas.

He is survived by: his siblings, Marilyn Ferguson (Richard) of Lebanon and Stephen Douglas (Carol) of Denver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
