With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Hughes (Franklin, Indiana), born in Tell City, Indiana, who passed away on December 30, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nancy leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nancy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hein and Mildred Hein (LeClere); her son William; and her siblings, Dr. Elizabeth Farley, George Chuck Hein and Daniel Farley.
She is survived by: her daughter Jessica Hughes (Greg Johns); her grandson Corey Turner (Makayla); and her sisters, Mary Faulkenberg (Bruce) and Susan Hein.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johnson County (IN) Public Library Foundation, Johnson Memorial Hospital Guild (Scholarship Fund), Marian University Leighton School of Nursing (Scholarship Fund), St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (Franklin), or The Nature Conservancy of Indiana.
