It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Schafstall of Franklin, Indiana, born in Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schafstall (Don) and Dorothy Schafstall (Sublette); his wife Janet Edmondson Schafstall; and his sister Jane Schafstall Schellie. He is survived by: his children, Robert H Schafstall (Kim) of Franklin, Joseph Edmondson Schafstall (Marianne) of San Diego and Libby Conley (Andy) of Carmel; his grandchildren, Grace Schafstall of Bloomington, IN, Emily Schafstall of Franklin, IN, Joseph and Stephanie Schafstall of San Diego, CA; his children, Phoebe and Cameron Conley of Carmel, IN.; and his brothers, Richard Schafstall of South Carolina and Randall Schafstall of Franklin.
To mark the end of his distinguished career and to celebrate his contributions to the Franklin community, then Franklin Mayor Fred Paris proclaimed December 14, 2011 to be "Robert D. Schafstall Day.".
