He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Barger and Amy Barger (Herald); his wife Sylvia Dale Barger (Adams); his daughter Barbara A. Cohen; and his grandchildren, Adam B. Klipsch and Sarah M. Cohen.
He is survived by: his children, Debra K. Hallberg (William) of Greenwood and John E. Barger (Julie) of Indianapolis; his son-in-law Dr. Jim Cohen of Zionsville; his grandchildren, Amy M. (Klipsch), Sadler (Ryan Rhoads), Ben Cohen (Marisa), Carly (Barger), McCain (Weston) and David Barger; his great grandchildren, Isabella Sadler, Quentin Cohen, Kinley Cohen, Callie Cohen and Jameson McCain; his stepgrandchildren, W. Scott Hallberg (Cynthia) and Agenia (Hallberg); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brent Hurrle, Matthew Hurrle, Eva Hurrle, Gavin Hurrle, Lyla Rhoads and Clara Rhoads.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wright Chapel (1070 W Jefferson St, Franklin, IN 46131). A reception will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
