We announce the death of Sue Carol Cain in Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 92. Sue will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert J. Brown and Marjorie Brown (Overmeyer); her husband Rob Cain; and her brother Gordon Brown. She is survived by: her children, Polly Yount (Steve) of Franklin, Tom Cain of Tavares and Marty Cain (Heather) of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, David Yount (Victoria) of Franklin, Brian Yount (Tasha) of Bozeman, Travis Cain of Chicago, Illinois and Morgan Cain of Chicago, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew Yount (David) and Elliot Yount (Brian); her nephews, Curtis, Brian, Michael and Mark Brown; and her sister-in-law Bette Brown.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moeller Funeral Home (104 Roosevelt Rd, Valparaiso, IN 46383). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Porter County Museum (https://www.pocomuse.org).
