She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldon "Higg" Higginbotham and Betty Higginbotham (Thompson); her stepmother Alice Higginbotham; her former husband Jimmie R. Mink; and her sisters, Susan Bowen and Donna Clark.
She is survived by: her husband Perry Carter; her children, Damon Mink (Erica), Patrick Mink (Jennifer) and Kimberly Mink-Gibson (Brad); and her siblings, David Higginbotham (Liz), Bob Higginbotham (Michelle), Jim Higginbotham (Sandy), Denny Higginbotham, Lenny Higginbotham, Linda Hutchinson (Bernie), Beverly Laymon (Kip) and Stephanie Crockett (Mark). She is also survived by 5 grandsons, 4 granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren.
