He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred "Willie" Kasting and Mary Lynn Kasting (Carter). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Whaley); his children, Kyle Kasting (Kelsey) of Franklin, IN and Kim Kasting (Todd Coons) of Franklin, IN; his sister Nickala "Nicki" Kasting of Franklin, IN; and his granddaughters, Avery, Ellie Minton, Landry and Lacey Kasting.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center (300 S Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (100 W South St, Franklin, IN 46131).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Community Foundation to the Kasting Family Charitable Fund dedicated to the support of agricultural and 4-H youth activities in Johnson County.
