He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Chester Strickland and Nell Meredith Strickland (Ooley); and his siblings, Kenneth Lee Strickland, Gordon Lee Strickland, Dolores Clifford, Kay Carol Wu and Dorothy Ann Strickland.
He is survived by: his daughter Lydia Michelle Haynes (Jeff) of Nineveh, IN; his grandsons, Matthew Roehrig (Tabitha), Michael Ostermeier (Celeste) and Mark Ostermeier; his great grandchildren, Levi Roehrig and Emmett Roehrig; and his sisters, JoAnn Strickland of Birmingham and Dr. Whitney Mandel of Orange County, California..
