He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Ison and Virgie Ison (Gilley); his wife Mary Louise Meade; his daughter Nickie Hall; and his siblings, Bill Ison, Bob Ison, Gay Ison, Marion Ison, Jackie Ison, Ruth Howell, Ruby Francis, Genice Day, Deola Day and Ann Greathouse.
He is survived by: his children, Earl Ison (Sonja) of Seymour and Renae Leonard (David) of Freetown; his grandchildren, Cindy Wynn (Steven), Keisha Ogle (Hank), Suzanna Marshall, Jessica Marshall (Jason), Derek Leonard (Chelsey), Mackenzie Curley (John), Bri Wilson (Nolan) and Hannah Johnson (Neel Weaver); his great grandchildren, Emma Mitchell, Kaytlyn Mitchell, Will Ogle, Maya Wynn, Mason Roberts-Marshall, Leah Roberts-Marshall, Ashton Roberts-Marshall, Willey Roberts-Marshall, Henry Wilson, Milo Wilson, Silas Wilson, Hayden Weaver and Delaney Weaver; his brother Willie Ison; his son-in-law Doug Hall; and his friend Serina Roberts.
Memorials may be given to Freetown Church of the Nazarene.
