It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Murphy of Freetown, Indiana, born in Seymour, Indiana, who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Murphy and Virginia Morgan Murphy; his siblings, Bobby Murphy and Rita Murphy; and his son-in-law Carl Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Dale Jewell Murphy of Freetown, Indiana.; and his children, Darren Murphy (Rachel) of Crothersville, Indiana, Darla Adkins (Rick) of Seymour, Indiana, Cathy Lanning (Tim) of Crothersville, Indiana, Sandy Adkins of Crothersville, Indiana, Tina McCory (Rex) of Brownstown, Indiana and Amy Murphy-Nugen (Les) of Bloomington, Indiana.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Freetown Apostolic Pentecostal Church in his honor.
