She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Charles and Stella Charles (Mikels); her husband Nolan Keith Hanner; her siblings, Betty Smith and Robert; her sister-in-law Peggy Charles; her brothers, Thomas Charles and Ted Charles; her brother-in-law Noble Nowland; her brother Monta; and her siblings-in-law, Dina Charles and Denver Edwards.

She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Stella Spellman; her grandchildren, Christopher Spellman, Jr. and Christina Elise Tucker; her great grandchildren, Johnny Tucker, Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Tucker; her sisters, Myrtle Edwards and Carol Nowland; and her siblings-in-law, Janet Charles, Audrey Charles and Norris Smith.

Memorials may be given to Kurtz Church of the Nazarene or Kurtz Cemetery.
