With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert E. Romine of Freetown, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Romine and Maxine Slusher Romine; his wife Cheryl Blanford; his children, Tammy Romine and Kyle Romine; his siblings, Barton Romine and Katrina Pope; and his nephew John Romine.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Vanarsdall of Shelbyville, Robin Steinway (Chris) of Trafalgar, Danielle Hollenbeck (Jon) of Columbus, Josh Romine (Katie) of Thompson Station, TN, Missy Rutan (Kyle "Rudy") of Columbus and Darcy Mobley (Billy) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Francis, Emily, Skylar, Talan, Tinsley, Ryker, Bethany, John, Caela, Abbigal, Zakary, Collyne, Willa, Chezney, Brentley, Elias, Kilyn, Cole, JoAnna and Kyler; and his siblings, Mark Romine (Carol) of Hope, David Romine (Twila) of Columbus and Mary Pardieck (Gilbert) of Columbus. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Newbern United Methodist Church (15786 E Main St, Columbus, IN 47203).
Memorial contributions may be given to the United States Marines Toys for Tots or Wreaths Across America.
