He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis "Pete" Kistler and Ellen Kistler (Hagerman); his siblings, Larry Corbin, Willisa Evans, Barbara Thomas and Sally Hollingsworth; his nephew Randy Thomas; his father-in-law Lollie Thatcher; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Thomas and Catherine "Kate" Thatcher.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Thatcher of Fremont; his brothers, Lewis Kistler (Christie) of Indianola and Willis E. Kistler, Jr. (Gala) of Fairmount; his mother-in-law Sharon Thatcher of Fremont; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Corbin of Danville, Lori Thatcher of Fremont, Ray Evans of Indianola and Michael Thatcher of Fremont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
