He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Smith and Margaret Smith (Handy); and his son-in-law Kent Bledsoe. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fisher (Dunham); his children, Steve Fisher (Melody) of Orland, Tom Fisher of Fremont, Della Lautzenhiser of Fremont and Tina Bledsoe of Angola; his grandchildren, Cory Fisher, Shanna Moughler (Seth), Spencer Bledsoe (Bridget) and Sarah West (Trevor); his great grandchildren, Colin Moughler, Leah West, Bexley Bledsoe, Myla West, Dylan Fisher, Devin Colyer and Hayes Bledsoe; and his sister Bonnie Parsons (Larry) of Sylvania.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Beams Funeral Home (200 Toledo St, Fremont, IN 46737). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257.
