She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Kern and Augusta Kern (Jochim); her husband Herbert George Obermeier; her grandson Ryan Obermeier; her siblings, Leo, Tony, Andrew, Norman, William "Bill" Kern and Leona Fuchs; her stepsiblings, Mary Catherine Woodall and Joseph Gootee; and her stepmother Bridget Gootee.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Obermeier (Marion) of Fulda, Rick Obermeier (Carla) of Fulda, Vicki Brzezinski of Louisville, KY and Gina Flynn-Mier (Brent Meir) of Evansville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church (15519 IN-545, St Meinrad, IN 47577). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
