He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest B. Maggert and Frances R. Maggert (Reed); his siblings, Richard "Sam" Maggert, Melvin "Jake" Maggert, Ralph Maggert, Clifford "Hoggie" Maggert, William "Bill" Maggert, Wava Woolard, Carolyn Creager and Juanita Kline; and his close friend Connie Deveny.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Higgins of Garrett and Eleanor "Dodie" Perucca of Garrett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
