With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dixie Bolen of Garrett, Indiana, who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dixie Bolen to pay them a last tribute.

As Dixie departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dixie may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy Dixie leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ellis Bolen and Cosby Bolen (Hicks); his wife Ellen Bolen; and his daughter Brenda Diehm. He is survived by : his daughter Darla; and his son-in-law Jim Gamble of Garrett. He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home (1860 S Center St, Auburn, IN 46706). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be given in care of Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
