He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Smith, Wanda Smith and Ray'Shonda Smith-Moore (Derrick); his godson Thelonius Hobdy; his grandchildren, Mar'Kayla Bethea, Mariah Bethea, Marissa Bethea, Noah Parmigiani, Zaria Smith, Tavion Jones, Sr., Armond Jones (Marianna) and Trenty Jones, III; his great grandchildren, Malani Jones and Tavion Jones, Jr.; his siblings, John Cole (Valerie), Eddie James Smith, Rodney Burnett (Corie), Carl Smith (Janet), Roger Smith, Tommy Smith (Judy), Lucille Smith and Valerie Redmon-Rhea (Robin Ballard); and his close friend Frank Lang.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home (4201 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN 46408). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
