He is survived by: his significant other Ramona Hayes; his son Alonzo Knox; his grandchildren, Ateeva Monique Knox, Oceanna Marie Knox and Aliyah Ann Knox; his sisters, Elaine Mithcell of Raleigh and Emily Mithcell of Charlotte; his nieces and nephews, Iris Norington-Barnett of Ohio, Tania Mable of Charlotte, Alison Mason (Donnell) of Merrillville, Kelly Buckman (Jason) of Charlotte, Jerry Williams, Richard Williams (Agnieska) of Chicago, John B. Terry, Christopher Terry of Joliet, Peter Terry (Angelina) of Jacksonville, Jonathan Heard of Charlotte, David Terry of Chicago, Tyler Parker of Raleigh, Kevin Ramon Curtis, Zanair Ramon Curtis and Jaymes Emmanuel Hayes; and his cousins, James Cherry (Sharon) of Chicago, Roberta Cherry of Chicago and Benetta Kelly of Fayetteville, Georgia. He is also survived by thirteen great-nephews; eighteen great-nieces; great-great nephews and nieces and a host of loving family members.
