It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Salazar of Gary, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Schroeder and Elise Schroeder; her husband Luis Salazar Carpio; her siblings, Marie-Catherine Flory (Gordon) and Leonard Billa; and her nephew Gordon Flory.
She is survived by : her sons, Alfonso (Christine), Charles (Tricia) and Mark Salazar (Renee); her grandchildren, Nicole Moore (Jonathan), Vincent Slovey (Clarissa), Lauren Salazar, Lucas Salazar, Francesca Salazar, Hope Krajnak and Maximilian Salazar; and her great grandchildren, Layla, Kylin, Xander, Blayne, Abel and Charlie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
