She was predeceased by: her mother Rev. Magdaleno Villagomez; her husband Jose Vega; and her siblings, Amelia Villagomez, Ruth Almazan and Abel Villagomez, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Macario "Maxie" Vega (Hilda), Kathylyn "Kat" Vega (Dave) and Melanie Joy Curry (Lamont); and her brothers, Jonathan Villagomez (Daniese) and Nathan Villagomez. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home (4201 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN 46408). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
