She was predeceased by: her husband Willie; her parents, Wallace Hurst and Lavada Hurst; her siblings, Wallace Hurst Jr., George Hubert Hurst, Troy Hurst and Versie Rosefort; and her grandson Kellen Givens.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Givens (Janet) of Crown Point, IN and Brenda Kennedy (Dwayne) of Bellevue, NE; her granddaughter Lauren Kennedy; and her sisters, Reba Faye Croom of Henderson, TN, Marsue Irwin of Savannah, TN, Nancy Nix (Willie) of Savannah, TN, Wheaty Martin of Selmer, TN and Agnes Hurst of Adamsville, TN. She is also survived by five nieces, nine nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Timothy Unity Church (1600 W 25th Ave, Gary, IN 46404). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
